Melbourne Cup favorite Tiger Moth has broken through a nightmare barrier after drawing 23 on Saturday night.
Leading jockey Kerrin McEvoy should be in his prime since the wide draw as he seeks his fourth Melbourne Cup. At the back of the draw, Tiger Moth went from $ 7 to $ 8.
It was a mixed bag for coach Aidan O’Brien. While Tiger Moth will jump from the second widest barrier, Caulfield Cup runner-up Anthony Van Dyck has tied perfectly at barrier three.
That tie gives jockey Hugh Bowman plenty of options on a field of ability. Anthony Van Dyck has gone from $ 9 to $ 8.
