Madame Tussauds of Berlin was a little early in deciding to throw away her wax figure of Donald Trump, ahead of next week’s US election.

Museum staff loaded the waxed effigy of the president of the United States into a garbage container, leaving no room for doubt about what they hope will happen next week.

The dumpster was also filled with posters about “fake news,” one of Trump’s favorite sentences, as well as his infamous MAGA caps.

Meanwhile, the wax statue of Barack Obama continues to occupy pride of place in the museum, and the Trump figure on the dumpster can be seen passing a smiling Obama.

The museum called it a “preparatory measure.”

“Today’s activity is more of a symbolic nature ahead of the US elections,” the museum’s marketing director Orkide Yalcindag told Reuters.

“Here at Madame Tussauds Berlin we removed the wax sculpture of Donald Trump as a preparatory measure.”

The museum includes wax figures of various former US presidents, regardless of what happened to them in subsequent elections.

Trump has been behind Democratic candidate Joe Biden in most polls, but he appears to be gaining traction in some key states.
