Former West Indies cricketer Marlon Samuels has come under fire for nasty comments about the wife of superstar Ben Stokes.

In August, Stokes left the English cricket team during their test series against Pakistan to be with his ailing father in New Zealand.

Due to strict travel restrictions, the 29-year-old was forced to quarantine for 14 days before being able to contact friends and family.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Stokes explained why he would not wish the challenging experience on his worst enemy.

“You get off the plane, you take your bag, you go out and they tell you which hotel to go to,” Stokes said.

“There is no choice, it is luck if you get a good hotel or not. The government has chosen certain hotels as quarantine hotels.

“I posted some Instagram stories and some of the guys from England were texting me asking, ‘What’s it like?’ And he was saying, ‘It wasn’t the most pleasant thing you’ve ever had to do, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.’

“I texted my brother saying the same thing, and my brother asked, ‘Wouldn’t you even do that to Marlon Samuels?’

“I said, ‘No, it’s that bad,’ that’s how hard it was.”

Although Stokes’ comments were obviously lighthearted, Samuels apparently didn’t appreciate the jokes.

In response, Samuels posted an explosive spiel on Instagram, in which he appears to make sexual comments about Stokes’ wife.

“No white boy could criticize me in sports and there is no turning back, look at this bitch, I keep thinking of me, give me 14 days with your wife, make her a Jamaican in 14 seconds, friend, none of you know me that way so simple is my fucking top skin tone everyone hates to fuck off, “Samuels posted Tuesday.

Samuels’s post on social media was not well received by the cricket community.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted: “This is appalling … we are trying to end racism … A little joking from (Stokes) shouldn’t lead to this.”

The rivalry between Stokes and Samuels ignited during a series of tests in 2015, when the West Indies hitter taunted the southpaw by greeting him after a layoff.

The pair then butted heads again two years later during the unforgettable T20 World Cup final, with a fierce discussion erupting in the middle.

Samuels recently recounted the first confrontation on Instagram, claiming that Stokes had been pushing him throughout the match.

“I remember this day like it was yesterday the first time I saw Ben and he started cursing me when I hit 50 and his teammates said, ‘Ben follow the plan, don’t talk to him because that’s what he wants. I did 100 hahaha, “Samuels posted.

Then it was his turn at bat and I salute him. I also went up to him and said: ‘Listen to your classmates because this is what your beginning will last a lifetime and you even dare to call me by my name and you know how much I hate. in your heart to me hahaha some people just don’t learn blessings Ben “

Early Wednesday, Samuels added more anti-Stokes posts to his Instagram account. He posted a news article about the England star involved in a one-night stand in Bristol in 2017, in which he was indicted but found not guilty of skirmishing.

“No no no this can’t be true, Ben is such a nice guy that he would never fight on the streets of England,” Samuels posed sarcastically. “No way stop lying about Ben.”

In another sarcastic post, again referencing a news article on the Stokes incident in Bristol, Samuels wrote: “Hey folks, is this your sweet little Ben who can’t live without calling me by name? I don’t think Ben do this * **.

“He lies he lies, he’s such a nice guy and also he just says nice things to me on the cricket field, things I would never talk about because I’m a boss and he’s a sweet boy hahaha.”

In a separate post on social media, Samuels targeted the great Australian cricketer Shane Warne, with whom he also has an unfortunate history.

“ICC cricket world Ben b *** h Stokes Shane b *** h Warne and some b *** h West Indian cricketers … fuck my biggest army and us more rich, “Samuels posted on Instagram.

Samuels and Warne infamously clashed during a Big Bash League match in January 2013, when the leg player accused the Jamaican of pulling an opposition player’s jersey while running between the wickets.

At one point in the ugly confrontation, Samuels threw his cricket bat in Warne’s direction, prompting the umpires to intervene.

After representing the West Indies in 71 test matches, Samuels played his last international match in 2018.

Meanwhile, Stokes is currently competing in the Indian Premier League alongside Australian Steve Smith for the Rajasthan Royals.

On Sunday night, Stokes hit 107 no against the Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi, his second century in T20 cricket.
