Sky says it has reached an agreement with Spark that will see Spark offer the Sky Sport Now streaming service as a $ 49.99 per month bundle with Spark Sport Now starting November 16.

Spark Sport costs $ 24.99 per month (with some Spark mobile and broadband customers they can claim a $ 5 rebate), while Sky Sport now costs $ 49.99 per month (although it can go down to $ 24.92 per month if a customer pays $ 299 to commit to 12- month package). That means someone who buys both services together will save up to $ 25 per month.

Spark said the package would only be available to any contract mobile or broadband customer. It will not be available for those with prepaid.

The initial period of the deal is six months.

Neither party wanted to comment on the trade terms.

No one had chosen that the two competing sports streaming services would be offered in one package.

But it is not the first time that Spark and Sky cooperate.

Spark offered Sky’s previous sports streaming service, Fanpass, to its own customers at a reduced price under a wholesale agreement.

Sky hosted a 2019 Rugby World Cup channel for their business customers, providing Spark with an inexpensive way to give pubs and clubs easy access to the tournament.

And after Sky bought Spark’s Lightbox entertainment streaming service for $ 6 million, qualified customers of the telco still got free access under a wholesale deal for six months until June this year, when Lightbox merged with Sky’s Neon.
