There was an awkward moment between the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania Trump, following today’s final presidential debate.
While he seemed in good spirits following his recent Covid-19 diagnosis, social media users couldn’t help but notice an awkward encounter between the First Lady and Trump after their heated debate with Joe Biden.
The footage shows the pair exiting the stage hand in hand before Melania can be seen pulling her hand away from the president.
Before the debate, Melania was photographed with Donald for the first time since he tested positive for Covid-19 three weeks ago.
The couple walked toward supporters at Nashville International Airport on October 22, before Trump’s final presidential debate at Belmont University.
Just two days ago, Melania was forced to cancel her return to the election campaign due to a persistent symptom of the coronavirus.
He was scheduled to attend a political rally in Erie Pennsylvania with the president of the United States, which would have been his first rally since June of last year.
But on the cusp of the trip, Melania’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, released a statement saying the first lady had decided not to attend.
“Mrs. Trump continues to feel better every day after her Covid-19 recovery, but with a persistent cough and as a precaution, she will not be traveling today,” Grisham said.
However, it appears that Melania is now in a good mood, making her first public appearance before the final presidential debate.
Many took to Twitter to comment on her classic style, describing the maxi dress as “amazing.”
She opted for a pair of black sunglasses to complete the outfit, as she was photographed holding the president’s hand.
“That is a classy lady,” wrote one person.
“Melania Trump looks amazing !!” added another.
Not everyone was impressed that he was not wearing a mask on the flight.
“It’s disgusting that he had symptoms only two days ago, but is wearing less mask on Marine One,” said one person.
However, the First Lady did don a mask once she arrived at Belmont University for the debate.
On October 14, Melania posted a candid account of her struggle with the virus on the official White House website, revealing that her son Barron had also been infected.
“Fortunately, he is a strong teenager and showed no symptoms. In a way, I was glad that the three of us went through this at the same time so that we could take care of each other and spend time together. Since then he tested negative,” he said wrote.
“I was very fortunate that my diagnosis came with minimal symptoms, although I was hit all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after. I experienced body aches, coughs and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time. the times of time.
“I chose to take a more natural route in terms of medicine, opting more for vitamins and healthy food. We had wonderful caregivers around us and we will be forever grateful for the medical care and professional discretion we received from Dr. Conley. doctor) and his team.
“It was an unfamiliar feeling for me to be the patient rather than a person trying to encourage our nation to stay healthy and safe. Now they were taking care of me and getting first-hand experience with all that Covid-19 can do.”
Melania said her recovery from the illness had given her “a lot of time to reflect.”
“When my husband was brought to Walter Reed as a precaution, I spent much of my time reflecting on my family. I also thought of the hundreds of thousands of people across our country who have been affected by this disease that infects women. people without discrimination. We are in unprecedented times, and with elections rapidly approaching, it has been easy to get caught up in so much negative energy, “he explained.
The First Lady encouraged Americans to “live the healthiest life they can.”
Meanwhile, in Nashville on Thursday night local time, Trump and Biden will meet in their final debate before Election Day on November 3.
