A road north of Canterbury was reopened after a three-vehicle accident.
Emergency services were called for the accident on State Highway 7 (Weka Pass Rd) in Hurunui around 12.10pm on Friday.
The road was closed shortly after the accident with detours and reopened shortly after 6.30pm.
St John’s spokesman Gerard Campbell said one person was slightly injured and treated at the scene.

A rescue helicopter was dispatched, but it was not necessary, he said.
Just after 2.30pm, a car crashed into a power pole on Grahams Rd at Rubens Pl in Burnside, Christchurch.
Campbell said St John’s staff took a person to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries.
The highway was initially closed to eastbound traffic before closing completely shortly before 4 p.m.
The closures were expected to last until 9 p.m. to allow contractors to replace the badly damaged power pole.
