1:30 in the afternoon: Donald Trump is expected to pressure Joe Biden over the scandal involving alleged foreign government emails written by his son Hunter Biden.
The New York Post claimed that the emails show how Hunter helped set up a meeting between Joe Biden and an executive from a Ukrainian energy company.
In a tweet Monday, Donald Trump called the emails “major corruption.”
“Joe Biden is a corrupt politician, and everyone knows it. Now he has the proof, perhaps as never before in a major politician. Laptop plus. This is the second largest political scandal in our history!”
American political commentator Danielle McLaughlin spoke to The AM Show on Friday and said she expects Trump to bring up the emails during the debate, even though that is not one of the topics.
“As we saw with the vice-presidential debate when Vice President Mike Pence challenged Kamala Harris on preparing the court or expanding the supreme court,” he said.
“I don’t think there is any question that Donald Trump is going to use his time, probably in response to something completely unrelated, to go after Joe Biden, ask about this laptop, ask about the emails, and ask alleged and undue influence that is assumes Hunter Biden has used “.
