The Z gas station in Paremata was cordoned off after the stabbing, for which the police have made seven arrests.
Police arrested seven people, including three minors, after a man was stabbed during an altercation between rival gangs at a gas station north of Wellington.
The serious assault took place on a Sunday afternoon at Paremata Z station on October 11.
Detective Sergeant Peter Middlemiss said seven people were arrested Wednesday, following searches at eight addresses in Porirua.
All seven were charged with injuring with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

“Investigations have determined that the altercation involved rival gang members,” Middlemiss said.
Four were due to appear in Porirua District Court on Wednesday afternoon and three will be handled by the juvenile justice system.
Middlemiss said police were still looking for other people believed to be involved and were looking for a man who he believed could help with the police investigation.

“We want to assure everyone that the police are committed to identifying all those responsible for this incident and holding them accountable.
“We hope these arrests provide some assurance that this type of violent behavior by gang members will not be tolerated.”
