With just two weeks left until the US election, President Donald Trump reportedly emerged from a television interview and launched a tirade about it on social media.

US media reported that the president abruptly interrupted his interview with CBS News 60 minutes on Tuesday (local time).

The interview, which was filmed at the White House, was expected to air Sunday as part of coverage of the US elections. Interviews with former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris were also expected to air on the show, according to CBS News.

However, Trump’s campaign adviser Jason Miller disputed the claims, saying on social media that they were “fake news.”

Trump also tweeted about the interview, calling it “false” and “biased,” and threatened to publish the interview early “for the sake of reporting accuracy.”

“Everyone should compare this terrible Election Intrusion to the recent Sleepy Joe Biden interviews,” he said.

60 minutes He said the White House agreed to only record the interview for its records.

Trump also posted a short video of Stahl at the White House after the interview, noting that she was not wearing a mask.

CBS News clarified that Stahl wore a mask when entering the White House and when greeting the president. She then removed her mask when she was socially estranged, just before the interview began. The media site also said that Stahl and its producers had returned negative tests for Covid-19 that day.

A source told CNN that the video showed Stahl with his producers immediately after Trump ended the interview. He had not yet returned to collect his personal belongings, including his mask, he reported.
