Anton Lienert-Brown admitted that there was probably not a single player on the All Blacks team who was happy with his performance at Bledisloe.

Rieko Ioane may not have an immediate chance to make up for his mistake in the first round of the Bledisloe Cup, with his status in doubt for the clash against Australia at Eden Park tomorrow.

Ioane, who fell to the bench after losing the ball while diving to score a try in a tie at 16 with the Wallabies in Wellington last weekend, has doubts about a hamstring injury.

Peter Umaga-Jensen has been called as a cover in case Ioane is unfit to play, and a decision will be made tomorrow.

Umaga-Jensen had trained with the All Blacks earlier in the week, but was released to play in Wellington against North Harbor this afternoon. However, Ioane’s injury removed him from the team at the end of the piece to fly to Auckland and rejoin the All Blacks.

Anton Lienert-Brown and Jack Goodhue will start in the centers, while Umaga-Jensen could join reserve mainstay Alex Hodgman to make his first appearance in the black jersey if he needs to sit on the bench.

The news would be another blow to the All Blacks’ bottom line after George Bridge was ruled earlier in the week following a training injury.

Bridge will be out for up to six months after sustaining a chest injury in training, while Sam Whitelock will also be out of tomorrow’s game due to headaches.

After debuting off the bench in Wellington, Caleb Clarke and Tupou Vaa’i moved into the starting lineup for Test 2 as their replacements.
