Wallace will begin his new role in the New Year.
Last month, MediaWorks confirmed that it had reached an agreement with global entertainment company Discovery Inc on the sale of MediaWorks’ free-to-air television business.
It includes the entertainment channels Three and Bravo, the streaming service ThreeNow and the multiplatform news and current affairs service Newshub, as well as additional channels Three + 1, Bravo + 1, The Edge TV and The Breeze TV.
The separation of the television and radio / out-of-home business parts is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
