Burke Gr, Naenae, Lower Hutt, where a murder investigation was launched following the death of a man Monday night.
Police were called to Burke Gr, Naenae, around 11pm on Monday.
Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful. He died of injuries.
It didn’t seem like there was a weapon involved.
Stuff You understand there was a party at the address on Monday night.
There was not thought to be an ongoing risk to the community, but police had not found the attacker, police said.

A homicide investigation had been launched and the police were talking to people there.
A neighbor at the dead end said she looked out the window at 11:30 and there were “police cars for Africa.”
Police had been seen at the home in the past, but not recently, he said.
An appeal for information was made.
