A woman fell and died outside the Auckland Harbor Suites complex around 3:30 am Sunday.

A man in the same Auckland apartment where a woman died over the weekend was taken to hospital right after the incident.

Auckland City Police Detective Sgt. Greg Brand said the man was taken to hospital for an “unrelated medical incident.”

He had been in the same building, the Auckland Harbor Suites complex on Gore St in the CBD, as the woman who died.

The man had now been released from the hospital, Brand said.

The apartment was being used as an Airbnb and a party was being organized when the woman died around 3.30am on Sunday.

A man ran out of the central Auckland apartment complex chased by several police officers shortly after the woman fell off a balcony, a witness said.

The Gore St apartments are opposite the SO / Auckland hotel, which is used as a managed isolation facility.

Police investigations into the woman’s death had already ended and no further action is being taken, Brand said.

The identity of the woman who died has not been released.

“As the police have previously said, the death of the woman is not treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner.”
