National leader Judith Collins will be in front of the media this afternoon as she prepares for her final election campaign.

The election is six days away and National is still far behind Labor at the polls.

Even with the support of the Act, Labor, with the help of the Greens, could form a government.

But Collins remains optimistic about his party’s chances: He told the Herald last week that he was now in “high-energy mode.”

And now it seems their tactic is to target Labor, through the Greens.

In an email sent to a supporter yesterday, Collins asked, “Can you help us stop the labor / green wealth tax?”

“Is [the wealth tax] it will strike fear in all New Zealanders who are working hard to create a better life for themselves and their family, particularly the older New Zealanders who will be affected by this new tax, “said Collins.

In a press release this morning, she was singing a similar tune.

“Labor has already promised to raise income taxes, but the wealth tax will be a source of pride for a Labor / Green government desperate to raise revenue to pay its expenses.”

This is despite the fact that the Labor Party has already ruled out implementing Green’s estate tax.

Collins visited a farmers market in Takapuna this morning, before being a “human hoarding” in New Lynn.

She will go back to being a human hoarding in Pakuranga, before watching the Bledisloe Cup clash this afternoon at a Karaka event center.

Collins has invited the media to see her with her.
