Suzy Brown and Alice Maudlin were the first to arrive at the scene of the accident and said that ambulances had taken three people.

Brown and Maudlin were at the nearby Ramada Suites Hotel when they heard a “crack” and ran out to see what had happened, Brown said.

“I was like ‘OMG,’ when I saw that car upside down, far away, [I thought] what are we going to find? “Brown said.

Both offered their robes as warmth to the wounded, who were outside their vehicles.

“It’s a terrible accident,” Brown said.
