Ross Douglas Browne, 72, of Manurewa, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent assault of a child under the age of 16 and one of inducing a child under the age of 12 to commit an indecent act.

He did not request the continued deletion of the name and will appear in court again in late November.

Another man, 73, also appeared and was granted continued crackdown.

Yesterday two other men of the seven defendants could be identified: Alister Grant Harlow and Ian Robert Wilson.

All defendants face at least one count of indecent assault. Other charges, numbering more than 20 in total, include rape, sexual exploitation, committing an indecent act, and supplying Class A, B, and C drugs.

The charges range from the late 1970s to the late 2000s.

All have been placed in pretrial detention until their next appearance in about seven weeks.

Police have expanded their team investigating this after more than 70 members of the public phoned with information once the initial charges were published.

Anyone else with information should contact the police.
