A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck Friday morning on Hawke’s Bay Expressway.
Police are asking for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed on Hawke’s Bay Expressway.
The accident, which involved a motorcycle and truck, at approximately 7:30 a.m. near the Watchman Rd intersection in Westshore near Hawke’s Bay Airport.
The red motorcycle was traveling north on the highway, State Highway 2, while the blue logging truck was traveling down Meeanee Quay when the accident occurred.
Police were now asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident or seen the movements of the motorcyclist or truck driver to come forward.

A woman who had lived in the area for several years said it was notorious for the crashes, but said the area had improved slightly since the installation of the roundabout.
