Police investigating Melissa Ewings’ disappearance north of Kaikōura remain concerned for the woman’s safety.

Officers are still actively working to rebuild the 31-year-old’s movements since she was last seen on September 20.

Ewings was reported missing on Monday, September 21, when she did not show up for work at Clarence.

In a statement Saturday, police said Search and Rescue had located “items of interest” in the search in recent days, including Ewings’ cell phone.

“The police continue to monitor and evaluate the information received on where Melissa may be and her movements, and keep an open mind about what has happened.”

Anyone who found anything that might be of interest in connection with the case was urged to contact Blenheim police at 105.
