Justice Nation ordered Fallowfield to reappear for a trial of labor hearing on December 8 and took him into custody.

The trial date was set for July 5, 2021.

Earlier this year, a family member confirmed that Fallowfield and Reedy were married in a small private ceremony before the Alert Level 4 lockdown (which began on March 25 and ended on April 27).

At the time of death, Detective Sgt. Mark McCloy said Reedy and Fallowfield were visiting Te Anau when the incident occurred.

Police were contacted about the death around 6.35pm.
