The toy ‘cat’ has studs that your ‘kitty’ can connect to.
Clarke Gayford loves her daddy cardies, so it’s perhaps no surprise that her favorite of the many handcrafted gifts her 2-year-old daughter Neve has received is a “crazy-eyed cat with paws. plug ”made of wool.
He and Neve particularly enjoy that there is more to the toy than initially appears, Gayford said.

The reason for the studded “nipples,” he said, is that the cat has kittens that close in a pouch on its belly and “can all connect to the milk rod.”

Gayford said young Neve has “4 days stuffed toys” thanks to the generous kiwis.
“I feel bad for not having started an IG [Instagram] It features showing off the amazing handcrafted goods our darling Nevester has received these past 2 years. Knit like you wouldn’t believe. The warmest kid in the park. “
Gayford’s post had received over 1,300 likes at the time of writing, but not everyone agreed that the toy was a cat.
“It looks like a dog to me, but 2020 is a crazy time,” said one person.
“I thought about a lamb but then about babies… so I’m confused,” said another.
Gayford has never kept his love for knitted cardigans a secret. When Ardern gave birth to baby Neve Te Aroha Ardern Gayford in 2018, she had what she called her “daddy cardie” ready: a gray and black number from the Salvation Army operations tent in Gisborne.
In June, she showed off the latest addition to her cardie collection: a light brown zipper from a women’s weaving group in Auckland that highlights the plight of New Zealand’s endangered Māui dolphins.
