British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told the media that in the UK that the country is experiencing a second wave of Covid-19.

The nation’s R number, which represents the number of people to whom an infected person will transmit the virus, has risen to between 1.1 and 1.4, meaning that cases can increase rapidly, warn the scientific advisers of the UK government.
At an overnight press conference, Johnson also said Downing Street was considering whether the current national ‘Rule of Six’ restrictions that were implemented this week should go further.
“There’s no question, as I’ve said for several weeks, that we could wait and now we’re seeing a second wave coming,” Johnson said.
“We have seen it in France, we have seen it in Spain, throughout Europe; I am afraid it has been absolutely inevitable that we will see it in this country,” he added.
Government figures show there have been almost 400,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in the UK, 4,322 more than yesterday. More than 40,000 people have died.
Johnson said it was inevitable that the coronavirus would hit the county again.
