Auckland commuters have a longer commute to work this morning after a line failure closed the city’s central train station.
Auckland Transport says that the Britomart station in the CBD is temporarily closed and passengers using trains should expect delays.
Travelers were warned to allow more time to enter the city due to delays and cancellations.
All trains would stop at Newmarket.
Currently there were replacement bus services running between Britomart and the station.
This morning, queues began to form on Remuera Rd, outside the entrance to the Newmarket train station, with masked passengers observing social distancing as they waited to be taken into town by bus.
