Fire crews from across Auckland are converging on reports of a major fire off the north coast.
Police have established a cordon at the scene on Triton Rd, Rosedale and are rejecting vehicles.
The building, which houses the Kinetic Engineeing Design on Triton Dr, is completely consumed with flames inside.
Firefighters are working to combat the flames from outside and using aerial devices. A senior firefighter was heard at the scene tell employees that they are working to contain the blaze

The first firefighters have started to enter the building. Senior firefighters were heard questioning employees if there is gas in the building. Employees noticed an air compressor cylinder at the rear of the building.
A Parnell aircraft appears to be succeeding in stopping the spread of the fire. Roof sections collapse can be heard inside the engineering company building.
The interior of the building has been gutted and the twisted sections of the frame are all that remains of the windows.
A witness reported seeing the flames of the business explode shortly before 9 p.m.
Matt Belcher was working in the office building next door when the fire broke out. He said it smelled burning and heard popping sounds, but didn’t think about it. Five minutes later, he saw huge flames rise from the windows, licking up the night sky. “The flames were rising about 10 meters high.”
The fire continued to burn inside the building at 9.20 p.m., about half an hour after the first reports of the fire came in.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus continued to crawl inside the building at 9.40pm, as flames burned inside.
At 9.50 p.m. M., The fire had passed its peak and contained within the charred interior of the building. Two aerial aircraft continue to put out small flames inside.
Police have rushed to the scene as crowds of onlookers gather on the sidewalk.
The cause remains unknown and more than a dozen fire trucks from across Auckland have converged on the scene.
A worker at the site said there was no night shift Tuesday night.
