A person who was recently diagnosed with Covid-19 had visited various locations on Auckland’s North Shore while infected before testing positive, including attending various gym classes.
People who attended the same classes at Les Mills in Takapuna are considered close contacts, says the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS).
Those people are “at a higher risk of getting sick,” says a spokesperson.
“We ask these people to stay home and contact Healthline on 0800 358 5453 as soon as possible. Healthline will inform them of the steps they will need to take, including arranging for testing.”
An alert is being sent through the Covid Tracer app to people who scanned at Les Mills on Wednesday, September 9 for the 5.30pm Sprint RPM class and 6.15pm Body Combat class, as well as for the class. Body Combat at 9.15 am day.
The person had also visited The Warehouse in Milford between 11 a.m. M. And 11.15 a. M. Thursday, September 10, as well as Countdown Milford between 11:45 and 12 p.m. M. From that day.
The person was contagious at the time, ARPHS says.
People who were in the gym but not in the same classes as the positive case are considered casual contacts. They should be alert for any symptoms of Covid-19, but they don’t need to isolate themselves unless they are feeling bad, says ARPHS.
Meanwhile, those in the supermarket or The Warehouse are considered low risk, including shoppers and staff.
Anyone with Covid-19 symptoms is advised to contact Healthline on 0800 358 5453 and get tested.
