Terror on the first date: how a kiss brought a woman to a Tinder appointment in the hospital

Can you imagine going out on your first date with a Tinder date, only to end up in the emergency room?

That’s exactly what happened to Samara Hnaien, 22, after a harmless night with a new flame in a medical emergency.

Hnaien from Australia agreed to meet with 23-year-old Charles Harris after they matched up with the Tinder dating app.

Harris says that with everything closed due to Covid-19, the 22-year-old came to his house to hang out.

“Since everything is closed, the date was that Samara was coming to my house to hang out,” Harris told BuzzFeed.

“The date was going very well, so we ended up kissing …”

Before the date, Harris had eaten a peanut sandwich. What he didn’t realize was that Hnaien had a severe peanut allergy.

Half-kissed, the 22-year-old realized that she was starting to have a bad reaction.

“Basically, my whole mouth started tingling in the middle of a kiss, which is the first sign to me that I’m having a reaction, and that I haven’t eaten anything, so I thought I must have had something that had peanuts.” Hnaien told BuzzFeed.

After asking him if he had eaten peanuts, he quickly asked him to inject his EpiPen into his thigh before calling the ambulance.

The couple then headed to the emergency room together.

Seeing the funny side of the situation, the couple made a video of their situation and uploaded it to TikTok.

“How was your Saturday night?” Hnaien wrote, as she posted a video of her at the hospital.

Harris then uploaded his video by writing “He invited Tinder on a date” before showing Hnaien lying on a hospital bed.

They remained in the hospital until 5.30 in the morning.

She says Harris handled the situation very well, describing him as “caring and genuine.” She says he reassured her so that she would not feel ashamed.

I was mortified and felt so bad for him. … It’s quite a conflicting experience stabbing someone with an EpiPen, especially when you first meet them, haha. “

Despite ending up in the hospital, Hnaien confirmed there would be a second date, and says she will now ask prospective dates if they’ve eaten peanuts before kissing them.
