Former All Black Nehe Milner-Skudder will reportedly make a dramatic return to the field of play in the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition.
But it will not be with his old side the hurricanes.
Instead, the 13 All Black winger or fullback test will play for the Highlanders, according to TVNZ News.
Milner-Skudder signed a lucrative three-year contract with Toulon to take effect at the end of the 2019 New Zealand season, but persistent shoulder injuries and the Covid-19 pandemic prevented him from playing a game.

“If it had been based in Hamilton, it probably would have been a different scenario, it just didn’t work.”
“There was no pressure on our part, we just did an investigation.”
Retallick is not contracted with New Zealand Rugby again until May 2021.
Gatland also confirmed to Newshub Aaron Cruden has signed a contract extension with the Chiefs to keep him at the club during the 10 weeks of Aotearoa Super Rugby competition.
