“We will now invite all of our members to be tested in the coming days and celebrate our church service this Sunday at our facilities,” wrote the controversial church leader on Facebook.

“I invite all New Zealand churches to act in accordance with their rights.”

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told The AM Show on Tuesday that the cabinet tried to strike a balance in its decision.

“We could reclassify ourselves to be a cinema for a season, so that we can have more than 10 people. Or maybe we could open our school or cafeteria on Sunday, so that we can have more than 10 people,” Tamaki wrote. “But why should we?

“A church meets essential spiritual needs as recognized [sic] in known models used in central government health practices. “

Tamaki previously called for a “day of prayer” to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming it would protect worshipers from the outbreak.

In the past, he also said that the claimed earthquakes were the result of homosexuality and that he once spoke with a $ 100 bill and that’s why he has never had money problems.

Tamaki said Tuesday that New Zealand “appears to have controlled parents too much as politicians.”

Ardern has said the Cabinet will review his level 2 alert status in two weeks.
