An entrepreneurial Dunedin company is selling T-shirts bearing the image of Dr. Ashley Bloomfield for charity.
“Immortalize the New Zealand quarantine hero and buy yourself a T-shirt or a tote bag,” says The Print Room’s Facebook post.
Co-owner Jon Thom said Things Such interest in the CEO of Healthcare Merchandise had “gone very well” with hundreds of pre-orders since Wednesday.

The Director General of Health, Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, appears in a charity that supports products from The Print Room in Dunedin.
All proceeds from sales would be donated to the New Zealand Women’s Shelter, meaning you would get $ 20 for each Bloomfield t-shirt, or $ 10 for a Bloomfield bag.

“We have been talking to our staff about causes that might be good to support,” Thom said.

The company, which employs eight people, was closed and hoped to resume business when level 4 rose.
“When we can get back to work, we will be producing and fulfilling all orders.”
The Bloomfield design was done by Dunedin graphic designer The Bold, and captured his image well, Thom said.
The printing room
The image of the Director General of Health, Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, appears on this shirt and bag.
“You see his face appear all the time, and he’s obviously a good-looking man, which helps.”
Bloomfield was a calm and reassuring figure, in a period of great uncertainty, Thom said.
“We are just trying to do something positive in a situation that is difficult for business, but provides a great opportunity to raise money for charity.”
The merchandise comes after actor Jordan Mooney, who played Eric on the television show. West Side – He starred in a music video in tribute to Bloomfield published on YouTube.
The Bloomfield image is also for sale on hand towels created by Wellington artist Kirsten Sutherland.
