Courier company Toll apologized after a pile of courier packages were found scattered on the ground in Mangere.
As the country enters Alert Level 3, many companies rely on online deliveries to combat the spread of Covid-19.
However, customers may be angry to discover that the packages they were waiting for may have been dropped.
According to Newshub, the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, viewed the parcels on Retreat Drive in Mangere on Tuesday morning.
The local said it called a council employee in the area who then picked up the packages and notified police.
Her cousin, Shane M, shared a photo of the pile with the caption: “Cousin on his morning walk found these packages lying around. If their delivery hasn’t arrived, it’s probably here.”
In the photo, some packages are labeled Toll, a global courier company with New Zealand outlets.
You can see that a package is from the clothing retailer Cotton On.
Toll apologized for the “clearly unacceptable” incident and said he was investigating what happened.
“Depending on the outcome of the investigation, we will take appropriate disciplinary action,” said a spokeswoman.
“We apologize to our clients who have been affected by this and will be contacting them as part of our investigation.”
