Fenn said her mother, Andrea Alexander, was viewing her Givealittle page overnight and her total increased every time she updated the page.
Alexander was overwhelmed by the generosity.
“The stress that my husband and I have had, that we have had to literally see our daughter die in front of us,” she said.
“Now there is light at the end of this tunnel.”
Fenn has been training to be a nurse, but had to stop in her fifth year when her condition worsened and surgeries no longer provided relief. You have one more placement to complete.
“She is the type of nurse who would want to take care of you if I were in your shoes,” Alexander said.
“She is so compassionate, caring and the first person she is when someone scratches their knee.”
Fenn said he contacted his surgeon early Monday morning and began the process of building his replacement joints.
