New York Post to Donald Trump: Stop the madness

In an editorial in the New York Post, front page on Monday, receiving giant-f nt treatment, Trump said he needed to give up a baseless fight to reverse the outcome of the presidential election.

“Mr. President … stop distrust,” read the front page of the famous tabloid for foreign headlines. “You lost the election – here’s how to save your legacy.”

“Mr. President, it’s time to end this gloom,” the Post’s editorial board wrote. “You’re cheering for a democratic uprising.”

Editorial from a post owned by Rupert Murdoch News Corp. (NWS), Hardly the first time a Murdoch-owned news outlet has distanced itself from Trump and refused to accept the election. The editorial board of the November Street Journal urged Trump to accept November once he was declared the loser (most other media organizations called the election the next day, and the Electoral College College ledge voted for President-elect Joe Biden on December 14). The Journal argued that Trump’s legacy would be greatly diminished if Trump’s final act was a “bitter refusal to accept a legitimate defeat.”

Fox News, which owns Murdoch’s Fox Corp., has admitted that Biden was elected president despite Trump’s refusal to accept prime-time hosts.

And in the post itself, top Murdoch lieutenant Kern Allen confirmed that he will retire from the paper in 2021. Allen was instrumental in moving the post in a pro-Trump direction. Last summer, for example, CNN reported that Allen had ordered the removal of the story on Trump’s sexual assault allegations.

But Trump’s misinformation about the outcome of the new editorial election was significant for dismissing his multi-faceted, provocative efforts to propagate and stay in power with his sharp words.

After the post criticized Trump for undermining the election results, his legitimate team found nothing to prove widespread election fraud that weighed in on Biden. The newspaper called Trump election lawyer Sidney Powell “crazy,” and said that former Trump director Michael Flynn was a traitor to Trump’s suggestion of imposing martial law.

“Mrs. President, we understand that you are angry or you are angry. But it is disastrous to continue this way. We give this in the form of a newspaper, which endorsed you: Set even if you want to cement your influence. A platform for future returns, you need to channel your anger into something more productive. “

The editorial insisted that Trump use the rest of his days to fight for Republicans to win both Senate elections in Georgia, so that perhaps Democrats can gain control of both chambers of the legislature. In addition to preventing Democrats from enforcing anti-Republican laws and regulations, the Post noted that the Democratic Senate could threaten the president’s legacy. Republicans will lick their wounds and are less likely to listen to Trump, the Post argues.

“The Democrats will try to write you off as a one-term depreciation, and, obviously, you’re helping them do that,” the editorial board wrote. “King Learn Mar F-Mar-a-Lago, warns of corruption in the world.”

The post echoed concerns raised by Democrats and Republicans that the lame-duck President Trump, despite being bound and ashamed of any consequences, poses a threat to the future of the United States. The editorial board warned Trump against that approach, noting that he still had something to fight for: how Americans remember him.

“If you threaten to burn your final days in the final fee, you will be remembered. Not as a revolutionary, but as a match-catching anarchist.”
