New Trailers: Forty-Year-Old Version, The Boys in the Band, No Time to Die, and more


I’ve been stuck on a return route for the past week or so (nice, well, yes I’ll see you again Battlestar Galactica And last night I saw Matrix. Forever). When real world things are so unpredictable and terrifying you feel the comfort of watching a show or a movie. In any case, I’m pushing myself to see something new (or at least new to me) this week Oh well, ICYMI is September 8th. Star Trek Day So maybe I’ll keep that pledge of “see something new” for a day or two.

There are a lot of new trailers out there, plus another trailer No time to die. And when Technically Trailer for Forty year old version I came out last week I’m squeezing it because Radha Blanc is amazing and I can’t wait to see her.

Forty year old version

Radha Blank is approaching a playwright in her 40s, whose shining star is starting to fade, when she rediscovers the love ping ping (Prem Radhamas Prime name) to make a feature film directing in this story. Of course, she records her demos, starts taking notes of her game and decides which path to follow. It is painted in black and white and set in New York City, and Blanc received a director’s award at the Sundance Film Festival in January. In addition to starring in a film that is loosely based on his own life, Blanc wrote the screenplay and shared the credit-generating shares with Lena Weith. No time to die

Band in boys

Based on the 2018 production of the 1968 play (which was also a 1970 movie), Band in boys Tells the story of a group of gay men at a birthday party in New York City, visited by a guest from the past who plays a game to uncover deep, dark secrets. The Broadway cast includes Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto and Matt Boomer, all of whom re-present their roles here, and is directed by Joe Mantello, who also directed the stage adaptation. It debuts September 30, from Netflix.

This teaser trailer features a peek into a documentary that tells the story of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg and her journey to address the United Nations in protest outside the Swedish parliament. I am Greta Hit Hulu on November 13th.

Occupier

A corporate agent uses brain-implantation techniques to live (possess) other people’s bodies in order to carry out a murder: what could possibly be wrong ?! Of course her consciousness is trapped within one of her subjects (don’t you hate when it happens?) And rejoices No Next. Director Brandon Cronenberg’s creepy film will hit theaters on October 9th (again, allowing a coronavirus epidemic).
