New Indie world presentation shows more than 20 Indie games coming to Nintendo Switch


REDMOND, Wash .– (BUSINESS WIRE) –Today, Nintendo has released a new Indie World video class that presents a wide variety of indie games, coming to the Nintendo Switch system this year and next. Highlights of the video include rogue-like dungeon crawler Hades, adventure game with card-trick Card shark en Raji: An old episode, an action-adventure game inspired by Hindu and Balinese mythology that launches for Nintendo Switch later today.

The video also revealed a free two-player update for Untitled Goose Game that will lead to the slapstick stealth sandbox game on Sept. 23.

  • Hades of Supergiant Games: Hades is a divine, rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, from the fast-paced action of Bastion to the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor. As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, players will distribute the powers and mythical weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the infamous god of the dead themselves as they become stronger and discover more of the story. Builds thousands of viable characters and a fully-fledged cast of colorful, larger-than-life characters make every escape attempt through the ever-shifting Underworld unique. Hades will have cross-saves with the PC version when the game arrives on Nintendo Switch this fall. (Each version is sold separately.)
  • Raji: An old episode of Nodding Heads Games / Super.com: This intense action-adventure game set in ancient India and inspired by Hindu and Balinese mythology. A young girl, chosen by the gods, opposes the demonic invasion of the human kingdom. Her Destiny: Save her younger brother and meet the mighty demon lord. Players will experience fluid combat and parkour while mastering divine weapons. Raji: An old episode launches later today on Nintendo Switch as the exclusive console console.
  • Spirit danger of Thunder Lotus: Like the Spiritfarer Stella, help the spirits of the deceased make their way into the hereafter by transporting them across a sea by hand-made ferry. In this fun management game with handcrafted art and animations, players will befriend friends with passengers, customize and improve their ferry, and explore an imaginative world – or just go where the wind takes them. Spirit danger makes its maiden voyage on Nintendo Switch later today.
  • Untitled Goose Game from House House / Panic: What could be more difficult than a terrible goose? Two terrible guzzlers! A free two-player update to the popular slapstick-stealth sandbox game will be available starting September 23rd. Untitled Goose Game will also receive a physical release on Nintendo Switch, with more information to be revealed in the future. A Q&A with the developers of Untitled Goose Game will be hosted on the Indie World Twitter account on August 20 from 1 to 2 p.m. PT.
  • A short walk of Adam Robinson-Yu / Whippoorwill: Walk, climb and soar through the peaceful mountainous landscapes of Hawk Peak Provincial Park. A short walk is a game about players taking things at their own pace, choosing their own path and seeing where it leads them. Along the way, players will meet other walkers, discover hidden treasures and enjoy the beauty of the world. A short walk launches later today on Nintendo Switch as the exclusive console console.
  • Torchlight III of Perfect World Entertainment / Echtra Games, Inc.: Torchlight III is the light and fast dungeon crawler sequel to the critically acclaimed action RPG Torchlight II. In Torchlight III, it’s been a century since the events of Torchlight II, in which the great heroes of ancient The Dark Alchemist were defeated. Now Novastraia is once again threatened by invasion, and players must venture out to defend the land against the evil Netherim and his allies. Torchlight III features all of TorchlightThe gameplay’s signature mechanics, including satisfying hack-and-slash combat, epic lottery drops and, of course, the beloved pet system that captured the hearts of ARPG fans. This great adventure also introduces new features, including fully customizable forts, unique Relic skills and a new immersive experience. Torchlight III will launch this fall for Nintendo Switch with an exclusive Red Fairy cap.
  • Takeshi and Hiroshi of Oink Games Inc.: The worlds of stop-motion animation and RPGs combine one Takeshi and Hiroshi. As 14-year-old aspiring game designer Takeshi, the player’s goal is to impress her little brother Hiroshi with the final chapter of her game. Takeshi must improvise: While his goal is to challenge Hiroshi to great challenges, he also wants to prevent him from losing. Takeshi and Hiroshi launches later on Nintendo Switch today.
  • Hypnospace Outlaw of Tendershoot / Mike Lasch / ThatWhichIs Media / Xalavier Nelson Jr. / No More Robots: In this internet simulator of the 90s, players will find a huge variety of websites, add useful downloads to their desktop, remove computer viruses and hunt virtual villains like an Encercer in the Hypnospace Patrol Department. Hypnospace Outlaw launches for Nintendo Switch on August 27th. The game will be available for pre-order in Nintendo eShop today, with a free demo version also available to download.
  • Card shark of Nerial / Devolver Digital: Players will fleece and cheat their way to the top of 18th century French society in Card shark, a stylishly illustrated adventure game that is all about playing your cards at once. On their journey from table to table, players will have to build up their repertoire of card tricks and carefully manage their bad winnings as the bet gets higher and higher. But players need to be careful – if cheat is exposed, they will gamble with their lives. Card shark comes on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
  • Manifold Garden of William Chyr Studio LLC: Set foot in a beautiful world filled with mind-bending puzzles Manifold Garden, a game that re-imitates the laws of physics. Geometry repeats infinitely in all directions, and downwards leads players back to where they started. To advance, players must manipulate gravity to change their perspective and see the world in new ways. Manifold Garden launches later on Nintendo Switch today.
  • Subnautica en Subnautica: Below zero of Unknown Worlds Entertainment: In Subnautica, players discover the depths of a very alien underwater world by collecting resources, creating underwater structures and smashing wild animals to discover the mystery of the planet they land on. For explorers looking for a frozen adventure, this is the sequel Subnautica: Below zero will have divers trying to survive the icy biomes of planet 4546B. Subnautica en Subnautica: Below zero will launch both on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
  • Garden story of Picogram / Rose City Games: Garden story invites players to a vast and fun world where they rebuild the community as Concord, the newly appointed Guardian of the Grove. Destroy a living island to fight invading Rot, cultivate fruitful friendships, gather precious resources, restore buildings, and rebuild your home. Garden story will flourish on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
  • Evergate of Stone Lantern Games / PQube Limited: Evergate is a dream-like 2D puzzle platformer set in addition, in which players control Ki, a childish mind on a journey through life, death, space and time. The innovative Soulflame mechanic loses the power to slow down time, giving players great flexibility in how they choose to navigate this beautiful, yet hilarious world. Evergate launches later on Nintendo Switch today.
  • Bear and breakfast of Gummy Cat Studio / Armor Games Studios: In Bear and breakfast, a relaxed management adventure game, players take on the role of Hank, a well-meaning bear who tries to turn an abandoned hut into a successful B&B. As the business expands, so do the mysteries of the forest, and soon Hank himself will discover a plot beyond the desert itself. Bear and breakfast combines elements of building, managing and exploring with deep customization and side quests in victory. The game will launch on Nintendo Switch in 2021 as excluding a timed console.
