App Drawer

You can enable an app drawer in the MIUI 12 if you are not much familiar with the whole iOS-style home screen. This will give you a swipe-up app drawer situation just like in the Google Pixel smartphones.

To enable this feature, go to Settings> Home Screen, here you can choose the “With Drawer Mode” option. If you want to go back to the traditional MIUI home screen, then you can do that by choosing the Regular mode in Home Screen. settings

Floating Windows

MIUI 12 gives you a new feature on your Xiaomi smartphones to let you run a few apps in a floating window. This is a really nice and new feature from XIoami to add in the MIUi 12. Well, you can only run some supported apps only but even then how cool is that?

There are two ways you can do that, one is when you open the task switcher on your smartphone. You will see a Floating windows button at the top of the screen, tap to expand the list, and launch any app in the pop-up view. You can also open any app in the pop-up view by opening the control center and tap Floating Windows toggle.

Forced Dark Mode

Just like MIUI 11, the MIUI 12 also comes with a dark mode feature with a forced dark mode option. The dark mode in MIUI 12 even darkens the wallpaper on your smartphone to give you a better dark mode experience.

It also comes with a forced dark mode feature which forces the apps to adapt to the system-wide dark mode. If any app is installed on your phone which does not support the system-wide dark mode then you can enable forced Dark mode here.

My Share

Mi Share was available in the MIUI 11 as well but here we have an upgraded version of the feature with more options. This feature lets you share files between the smartphones which support the Mi Share feature. This settings page has been refreshed, now you can share data between your phone and selected Mi Notebooks from Xiaomi.
