The third DLC in the history of Borderlands 3 has arrived, and with it, plenty of new loot, as expected.
There’s something pretty unique about the Bounty of Blood loot group in that it’s only pistols Plenty of weapons, and no grenades, shields, class mods, artifacts, or anything else. A bit cool, although I was looking forward to maybe a new class mod, as the other two DLCs had them.
So you probably want to know what the new weapons are, which ones are good and where to find them.
I’ve found copies of almost all of this for now, and while I’m still working on them experimenting, I do have a few favorites. But I’ll make the full list here, with some help from this everlastingly useful Borderlands 3 loot spreadsheet I always go back to.
Here we go. There’s a lot. I’ll update some of the missing entries as time goes by and find out more about weapons (where they can be grown, what they do). However, most of them that I have come across are, in fact, world drops.
Explosion contained (AR, Abbadoxis Drops, Crew Challenge, Ashfall Peaks, World Drop) – This is an AR with explosive rounds that works like Kaoson, a bit. One of my DLC favorites and my primary weapon on Zane right now with 200% anointing.
Dowsing rod (AR, World Drop) – I have one of these but I’m still not sure what it does.
Flamethrower (AR) – I don’t know where this is or what it does yet.
To flourish (Gun, Drops from The Ruiner, Ultimate Boss) – A six-shot pistol that fires a burst of shots when loaded. I have found that it has little massive power.
Gargoyle (Gun, Dickon Goyle Drops, Crew Challenge, Bloodsun Canyon, World Drop) – This is a very, very strong corrosive weapon that I have used a lot. Shoot corrosive popcorn “sticks” before overheating.
Lighthouse (Pistol, World Drop) – Maliwan’s elemental pistol where the reload does a nova. I don’t think it’s very good.
Light show (Pistol, World Drop) – Fire four shells in a circular pattern. I really love this weapon, I think it is one of the strongest I have ever received, especially with 50/150 radiation.
Scoundrel (Gun, Quartermaster) – Fully automatic rockets, the alternate fire is a shotgun. It seems to be fine
The blanc (Pistol, World Drop): Changing fire mode deals 35% weapon damage, stacking ten times. It looks like it could be good, but I still haven’t played enough with it.
Careless harold (Pistol, Caber Dawd Drops, Crew Challenge, Bloodsun Canyon, World Drop) – The beloved pistol is back, and yes, it is quite good. It fires a line of explosive shells and I think it’s pretty strong, especially for splash damage builds.
Plumage (RPG, World Drop) – I have some of these, but I haven’t used them yet to see what they do.
Satisfaction (RPG, World Drop) – Shoot four sticky orbs. I think this is very bad, from what I have seen.
Positive side (Shotgun, World Drop) – Reload generates a drone that makes four different elemental drones. I haven’t played much with this yet, but drones are often underpowered.
Chandelier (Shotgun, World Drop) – Not sure you found this one yet? I don’t know what it does.
Frequency (Shotgun, World Drop) – Kills increase the burst count for a short time. I do not like this
Robin’s call (Shotgun, Garriden Loch, Crew Challenge, Ashfall Peaks, World Drop) – A Jakobs shotgun that I really quite like. Crit bounces and returns ammo.
Shovel (Shotgun, World Drop): Shots penetrate targets and leave sticky bombs on enemies. I haven’t tried that much yet.
Fin (SMG, Minosaur, Crew Challenge, Bloodsun Canyon, World Drop) – Starts as a projectile but becomes 9 when the trigger is held. I need to play with this more. I don’t have a good vibe yet.
Mother too (SMG, World Drop) – Reload becomes a drone that fires a laser. This weapon is very bad.
Property license (SMG, World Drop): blast five rounds, ADS increases firing speed. It seems pretty solid.
Narp (Sniper, ???) – I have never seen one of these. Apparently, the reload grants bonuses to the next magazine if bullets remain.
Complex root (Sniper, Lani Dixon, Crew Challenge, Ashfall Peaks, World Drop) – By far the best weapon in this DLC. So much so that he’s probably going to be nervous. The shots create a small elemental damage matrix that especially damages bosses, especially due to their huge hitboxes. I can kill The Ruiner in about eight seconds with this thing. It’s stupid
So cultivate, there’s a lot to find, obviously.
