Neil Young removes Facebook and Google logins from archive page

A new email to members of Neil Young Archives has announced that Facebook and Google logins will eventually be removed from the site. “Good Facebook and Google buttons,” read the email. “We thank you very much for carrying us through this process. We know it is not convenient, but we believe we will do better. “Quality, whether you like it or not!” ‘Scroll down for the full email.

The email also pointed to an article by Neil Young Archives entitled “NYA Days Away From Droping Social Media Platform,” which states that NYA is paying nearly $ 20,000 to unlock Facebook. “Facebook lets science and lies circulate in its political ads on the platform, while bots sow discord among users,” the article reads. “Sowing dissent and chaos in our country through political disinformation is something we cannot tolerate. Simply put, Facebook joins our election. “Find the full statement below.

Earlier this month, Neil Young filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign for copyright infringement over the use of the ‘Rockin’ in the Free World ‘and’ Devil’s Sidewalk ‘campaigns at rallies and political events. In June, Young shared a new song titled ‘Vacancy’ from his long-awaited Homegrown LP, which came out later that month.

We reach out because Neil Young Archives will begin the process of eliminating Facebook and Google logins from our website. (If you want to read about why, we’ve included Neil’s article from NYATC at the bottom of this email.) If you use Facebook or Google to sign up, we’ll ask you to continue through a quick process the next time you sign up – these are just a few extra mouse clicks. At the end of the process, your account will be switched to using your email address and a login password. Good Facebook and Google buttons. We thank you immensely for carrying us through this process. We know it is not convenient, but we believe we will do better. “Quality whether you like it or not!”
