NCIS is reported to be losing a core cast member ahead of season 18.
As published on Deadline, Mario Bello will leave eight episodes in the new season, with a story dedicated to concluding the arcs of his character Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Sloane.
Bello joined the cast in 2017 for the fifteenth season of the show that is running, and when he did, he signed a three-year contract, so his departure is no big surprise.
The star has been producing more projects in recent times, as well as the filming of The Water Man, directed by Selma star David Oyelowo.

NCIS was one of many programs that had to end its last season prematurely due to interruption of production as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). The NCIS season 17 finale was not meant to be one, leaving things on an unfinished note. Episode 400 was one that should have aired, but has not yet been filmed.
Despite the pandemic, CBS plans to bring back its regular line of NCIS and its derivatives, along with Young Sheldon and a few newcomers, this fall.
CBS Entertainment chief Kelly Kahl said in a statement: “We are excited to step out of another season as the most viewed network in the United States and, despite the obvious challenges around us, put together another winning lineup.”

“Next season, we will have five returning freshman series and three compelling new shows placed on a schedule with the incredible stability that CBS is so well known for.”
NCIS it is transmitted CBS in the United States and on FOX UK in the United Kingdom.
