NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tourists fly to Nashville to see a new mural by Dolly Parton celebrating her position on Black Lives Matter.
Mural painter Kim Radford had already decided to paint the mural of the country music icon alongside a local music association called The 5 Spot, which was famous for being one of the many movie locations for the TV show “Nashville”. “
But when she completed the wall, Radford saw an article of Billboard in which Parton said she supported the Black Lives Matter movement, saying: ‘Of course Black lives life. Do we think our little whites (explosives) are the only ones who care? ”
Thus, Radford quickly dropped the offer at the top of the mural, replacing part of the curse word with butterflies and soon began spreading photos on social media. The mural features cascading waves of Parton’s signature high volume blonde hair surrounded by butterflies and wildflowers.
“I saw in particular her quote and it was so sassy and a sensitive remark about something that was getting a lot of friction in the air at the moment,” Radford said. ‘And she treated it just like Dolly does: lovingly. And it was just perfect. ”

“I wish it was a real display of an iconic, fun, bright, artistic way,” Radford said. “It’s a representation of an icon that Americans and really people all over the world are really proud to know and love their music.”
Now less than a week old, the mural has become a hot spot for tourists visiting Music City to get a selfie. Radford himself was stopped by Dolly fans in front of the wall to pose for photos.
“I got fans from Dubai,” Radford said. “A lot of women. And I have to say, 95% super positive. ”
