Multiple teams showing interest in the Eagles TE Zach Ertz trade

The tight end could be the next Philadelphia Eagle on the Zach Ertz move.

Several teams have called Ertz about Ertz’s trading prospects and a deal could be struck in the coming days, sources told NFL Network’s Michael Silver.

Artz’s potential trade is an example of the ongoing transformation in Philadelphia after the team traded quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts.

The 0-year-old is coming down the year with 33 receipts for 335 yards and a touchdown in 11 games. It’s a career shortfall in all three categories for a three-time pro bowler, but the move isn’t just due to a lack of arts production.

Although next year’s pay cap is not yet fully determined, the Eagles are projected to be better than the maximum number (34 34,146,468 million in red, per cap over) and trading away from the Artz will provide them with some much-needed financial relief. Irtz plans to receive a base salary of 8 8.25 million in 2021, with a cap hit of 12 12.5 million and a dead cap value of 7. 7.8 million.

The Eagles are also well-equipped to let the Eagles come in on their own after three seasons with Dallas Goedert. The second-round pick had 46 receptions for 524 yards and three touchdowns last season.

As the Eagles continue to make big changes, including the recruitment of new head coach Nick Sirini, the return of Ertz is ideal for the Eagles. On the other hand, dealing with the Eratz claimant would complete a good situation for both parties.
