Most New York House Democrats govern

On Friday, most of New York’s Congressional Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Chairman of the Judiciary Jerry Nadler, Govt. Rew Andrew Cuomo was called together to resign.

Nadler said in a statement on Twitter that repeated allegations had been made against the governor and the way he had reacted to them had made it impossible to continue his rule at this stage.

“Governor Cuomo has lost the trust of the people of New York. Governor Cuomo will have to resign,” Nadler said.

So far, 11 of New York’s 19 House Democrats have vowed to leave Cuomo.

The unnamed Democratic governor has called for the resignation of state-level politicians from his own party over a growing list of allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct in the workplace.

Cuomo has repeatedly vowed not to resign, urging the public to suspend the verdict on several charges against him until the investigation is completed by New York Attorney General Letia James.

But Democrats and Republicans in the Empire State have only stepped up pressure on the Cuomo, taking steps toward an impeachment inquiry.

Cuomo has suggested that the attacks are politically motivated. Several Democrats in New York are currently considering bidding for Kuomo’s job as his political future grows on suspicion.

But on Friday morning the Democrats joined a growing chorus of Democrats on a tour of Cuomo, which is under pressure not only for harassment allegations but also for managing Kovid in nursing homes by their administration.

“As members of the New York delegation of U.S. delegates, we respect these women, we respect reporting, we respect the attorney general, and we respect the fifty-five members of the New York State Legislature, including the state senate. That said Governor Cuomo will no longer be able to live effectively to meet the many challenges, ”Rips said. Ocasio-Cortez and Jamal Bowman said in a joint statement.

“We have come a long way, but now is the time for the pay generation to stop being upset,” said Caroline Maloney, chair of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, DNY.

Notably, two Democratic senators in New York have so far been unwilling to call on Kuamo to resign.

On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D.N.Y., called the latest lawsuit against Cuomo “nauseous,” but the governor stopped demanding his resignation.

Schumer and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D.N.Y., did not immediately respond to a request for comment from House Democrats on the development. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

White House Press Secretary Jane Sasaki said Tuesday that she has spoken with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris about the Cuomo controversy, and I reiterated on their behalf that they believe all women should be heard and treated with respect. . “

Noting the ongoing investigation by AG James, Pasaki said Biden and Harris “respect them and believe they should move on.”

Cuomo initially praised him for handling the coronavirus epidemic as he hammers to New York in 2020.
