Moscow reports most new cases since June: virus update


(Bloomberg) –

The newest coronavirus case since June 2 was reported in Moscow on Sunday, with 7,867 nationwide, the third day directly above 7,000.

Melbourne eased its curfew and other restrictions ahead of schedule as Australia aims to create a “travel bubble” with New Zealand by the end of the year as the pace of coronavirus infections in both countries eases.

Antibodies that stop the coronavirus from spreading in the body are part of a promising strategy to prevent serious illness from covid-19 before the vaccines arrive, according to the U.S. Said Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Thousands of masked protesters gathered in London to protest against the government’s extensive anti-coronavirus sanctions. UK Conservative Party rebels say they have the numbers to defeat the government as they try to contain Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s crisis coronavirus powers.

Jump to Moscow infection (4:11 pm HK)

With the number of cases in Moscow rising to nearly four months, Mayor Sergei Sobyany said on his blog on Sunday that the centrally controlled heat would be introduced before normalization, so that people could stay at home or alone. Country homes will be more comfortable.

On Friday, Sobyani told more than 65 people and people with chronic illnesses to stay home from September 28. He advised companies to return as many employees as possible to work from home.

There were 99 casualties across the country, bringing the total to 20,324.

Tory Rebel says UK government could be defeated by virus powers (4:56 pm HK)

Leading rank and file Tory Steve Baker is among the dozens who have backed the amendment which gives House Week Commons a chance to discuss and vote on changes to coronavirus rules when the government’s epidemiological law comes up for review this week. When asked if, with the support of opposition parties, the rebels could win the vote, Baker said, “I’m sure.”

“We don’t really want to revolt,” Baker told Sky News. “We are trying to support the government by saying we vote on this move and support the government, let’s enjoy our consent to the policy we are giving.”

The metropolitan government said 144 of the 4,807 people tested returned positive. The total number of infected people is ૨25,77 at 29, which is critical, the local government health agency said in a statement.

Australia targets travel corridor with New Zealand till year-end (10:57 a.m. HK)

Countries have enacted strict social-distance measures to prevent the spread of the virus and have had relatively greater success in eradicating it than in the rest of the world. New South Wales, the most populous state, has reported no new infections in the last 24 hours, with no new cases reported for the first time since June 10. Two new cases of the virus were reported in New Zealand on Sunday.

“Whether New Zealand finally opens up to Australia will be a matter for New Zealand,” said Simon Birmingham, Australia’s tourism minister, in an interview with television broadcaster Nine Network.

Penalties will be raised for those who break social restrictions in places where some controls are being eased earlier than expected in Melbourne, said Daniel Rendrews, the prime minister of the southern state of Victoria.

According to the opinion poll for the left-leaning newspaper in the Browser, Care Starr’s labor rose 3 points to 3%, while Johnson’s party fell the same amount to %%%. In late March, four months after the government locked down the economy and won the election in a landslide, the Conservatives had 54% support.

The survey comes years before the country is set to hold general elections, a reminder that Johnson’s administration has dominated a series of missteps. Thousands took to the streets of central London on Saturday, with thousands of protesters carrying placards such as “This is cruel,” outraged by the government’s escalation of coronavirus sanctions.

The state-owned healthcare organization in Hawaii will take care of a retired caregiver’s home, where 26 residents are reported to have died of covid-19.

The Associated Press and local media reported that Yukio Okutsu Veterans State Home will be the operator in the hills of the big island, taking over responsibility for Avalon Health Care in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Veterans account for a large share of total coronavirus deaths in the state. There have been more than 12,000 cases in Hawaii. U.S. with Hawaii Emergency Management Agency A federal team of the Department of Veterans Affairs revealed failures to take appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, Hawaii News Now reported this week.

Most of the 89 residents living at home were infected with the virus along with dozens of employees before the outbreak.

California cases above average (2:05 pm NY)

California added 4,197 new cases, bringing the total to 798,237. An additional 134 deaths were reported, with 15,532 deaths. The one-day increase in cases and deaths is higher than the 14-day average.

The state said Friday it is seeing rising virus case counts and early signs of emergency-room visits after several weeks of improvement, with predictions that hospital admissions could increase by 89% in a month. There are 2,717 ICU beds available in California – 900 more than its lowest two months ago.

Italy observes a national lockdown (12:45 p.m.)

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said there would be no new national lockdown as the country was “in a completely different situation” than at the beginning of the year. Stating that the government has strengthened health exits, he added that there may be more stringent measures in specific clusters or areas “but in a limited, contracted way.”

France falls to wicket again from the case (1 p.m. NY)

France dropped 14,412 new cases the next day, to a record 16,096 on Thursday. The seven-day average has risen to 12,179. A total of 39 casualties have been reported for a total of 1,400.

Dutch mortality rate rises by most since June (11:36 am NY)

The death toll from Covid 19 rose to 38 in the Netherlands on Friday, the highest since May 15, the national press agency ANP reported on Saturday.

One of the biggest contributors to the capital, Amsterdam, has been the recent rise in infection rates. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Friday that the new increase in the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague was “worrying” and that additional regional measures were needed. The Minister of Sports and Medical Care, Your Van Ark, said on Saturday that Soccer Stadium is in danger of being banned again by visitors if visitors do not comply with the rules.

Denmark plans widely randomly tested (11:30 a.m. NY)

Denmark plans to test about 1 million inhabitants – about 5 million inhabitants – to gain control over the spread of the virus for Covid 19 antibodies.

The agency that monitors infectious diseases will contact the Danes over the age of 15 to answer questions about the Status Serum Institute, symptoms and risk factors and send home tests to those who respond. The agency says it has 1,000,000,000 tests available, and if demand exceeds that, it will distribute more on a first-come, first-served basis.

New York cases pass 1000 for the first time since June (10:34 am NY)

For the first time since early June, more than a thousand new cases have been reported in New York State. Governor Andrew Cuomo filed 1,005 lawsuits against the New York City fight that broke out in Brooklyn and Queens.

An increase of 0.2%, corresponding to a daily average increase over the last seven days. While four other deaths have been reported.

New York, struck at the start of the epidemic, was reporting more than 10,000 cases per day at its peak and about 800 daily deaths in mid-April. More than 25,000 residents have died from the virus. Cuomo has said to expect a high case during the reopening process, and urged residents to wear masks and stay away socially. There has also been a significant increase in testing since June.
