The Trent County Public Health Department confirmed 5,991 new cases of civil-19 Monday, along with another 18 new deaths. As of Sunday, TCPH is also reporting that about 1,200 people have been hospitalized in the county with the virus and the ICU business rate is% at%.
In the last seven days, the county has announced 11,410 new or 1,375 cases of the virus per day on average. The county health department did not report COVID-19 case data on Dec. 24-26. Of the 5,991 additional cases reported Monday, data from the county health department indicate that there are 5,441 confirmed cases and 550 more probable cases than the latest report.
The latest 18 victims include people from Arlington, Bedford, Fort Worth, Hultom City, Hurst and Richland Hills. No further details are available yet.
Trent County, which last month extended its mask order until February 28, 2021, began reporting both possible and confirmed cases of Covid-19 in August at the request of the state Department of Health. Potential cases, the county said, are part of a variety of real-world situations and cases may be published in the community that are not otherwise reported. To date, the county has recorded 125,947 confirmed cases of the virus and 18,054 potential cases for a total of 144,001 cases.
The health department reported by Sunday that 1,175 Kovid-19 patients were occupying hospital beds in the county, accounting for about 26% of the county’s capacity. TCPHA reports that 826% of beds are occupied in the county and 96% of ICU beds are occupied in the county.
