Mobile package Gundam has awarded fans for its Gundam plastic models in this time of quarantine thanks in part to the coronavirus pandemic, but now, the legendary mech franchise gives fans the chance to add one of the series’ most popular mechs , the Zaku 2, to her office with her own tape dispenser! Needless to say, although Gundam has appeared in a number of different pieces of merchandise over the years, this latest office tool is certainly one of the strangest we’ve seen so far and will really show you your love for Gundam. to let!
The Zaku unit was the mech of choice for Char, the first major antagonist of the original Mobile package Gundam anime, and was a go-to competitor for the Gundam unit as part of the Zeon Principality. Though Zaku has never really been thought of as powerful or as recognizable as the original Gundam units, they have made for some excellent “cannon fodder” throughout the entire ranks of the Universal Century. With the following movie-long feature taking place in the same universe as the original anime in Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash, expect some Zaku appearances to appear in this brand new story to the spiritual successor of both Char and Amuro.
Twitter user HobbyLink shared a first look at the unique tape dispenser that takes the head / helmet of a Zaku and uses it as a traditional office item that fans can enjoy Mobile package Gundam to show how much they love the legendary mech franchise:
What wrote ‘practicality’ more than an absolute massive #MobileSuitGundam tape dispenser model to Char’s #Zaku II head? Nothing at all! That’s just about all we have to say about this!
