Mindy Calling reveals her mother’s advice to her before she died of pancreatic cancer in 2012 at the new PSA

And on World Pancreatic Cancer Day Thursday, Mindy Calling paid tribute to her mother for raising awareness about the disease in the new PSA.
‘Before she died, I asked her to give me as much advice as possible. “The most important thing she told me was to always be my own best friend,” said the 11-year-old actress.
She lost her mother Swati to pancreatic cancer in 2012. And on World Pancreatic Cancer Day Thursday, Mindy Kaling paid tribute to him at PSA for raising awareness of the disease.
Wearing a purple dress and looking straight into the camera, The Mindy Project Star explained: ‘When I was growing up, my mom was always there for me. We shared everything together, so when I found out she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, it was one of the most difficult moments of my life.
‘We did everything we could for her, but we didn’t catch her on time.’
His mother, an OB / GYN in Boston, died eight months after the diagnosis.
“I am here today with my mother in spirit to continue her fight for the advancement of early diagnosis and treatment for pancreatic cancer patients and their families and to support the research,” Tara said.
‘Because when we do that, today’s fighters have a chance in life that my mom didn’t have.’
Calling is now a mother, having welcomed daughter Catherine Swati and son Spencer in December 2017 and last September.
‘When I found out she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, it was one of the most difficult moments of my life. We did our best for her, but we didn’t catch her on time, ” the 41-year-old actress explained.

Earlier this week, she talked about the thoughtful gift she received from celebrity Paul Reese Witherspoon after the birth of her second child.
