The return of Microsoft Flight Simulator seems to be worth one.
Microsoft Flight Simulator, the first new entry in the venerable series in eight years, is coming to PC this week. The new game brings Flight Sim into the modern era, with unique visual fidelity and accessible gameplay for casual gamers.
The exceptional graphical detail of Microsoft Flight Simulator is achieved through a combination of real-world satellite imagery and photogrammetric scans. As you approach each terrain, an algorithm uses all of this data to flow into higher quality models of the world beneath you.
This ensures a very believable recreation of our world without hiding the hard drive of anyone with terabytes of data. Microsoft Flight Simulator is already a big enough game with a 150 GB space requirement, but the details shown here would require an even larger space.
Like its predecessors, the new game will also support various add-ons through an in-game brand. For those who are new to the series, many of the simulation options could turn off or off for a practical arcade feel.
Read below to see if the new Microsoft Flight Simulator is worth the name in our reviews.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is out tomorrow, August 18th on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game is also available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
