The former personal lawyer of Donald Trump has repeatedly made claims that his former boss cheated in the 2016 presidential election and with “Russia” with Russia.
Michael Cohen, in a preface to his forthcoming book entitled Unbelievable, said Mr. Trump “united with the Russians, but not in the alleged ways proposed by his detractors.”
“Trump has cheated in the elections, with Russian connection, as you will discover on these pages, because everything – and I mean everything – to ‘win’ has always been his business model and way of life,” he wrote in the foreground published on Thursday.

Mr Cohen’s claims repeat for the most part similar allegations he has made in the past – which were rejected by Mr Trump – with slight changes.
During his testimony to Congress in February last year, Mr Cohen called Mr Trump a ‘cheat’, claiming he knew ahead of time about the 2016 WikiLeaks email release that damaged his Hillary Clinton campaign.
At the time, he said he would “not use the word cololling” to describe his dealings with Russia, but added that there was “something strange” about the president’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Mr. Cohen was sentenced in 2018 to three years in prison after he was allowed to arrange payments for women who claimed they had affairs with Mr. Trump. He was released from prison in May this year to serve the remainder of his sentence at home as part of measures designed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
He was sent back to prison shortly before proving the terms of his release by writing a tell-all book, before a judge ruled it was “revenge use” and therefore illegal.
In the preface to the book, Mr. Cohen also reiterated claims about Mr. Trump pursuing real estate in Moscow during the election campaign.
