McKinney calmed down on reports of a positive coronavirus test at the White House

White House Press Secretary Kyle McKinney declined to confirm or deny reports that several White House staffers tested positive for coronavirus.

“Have any members of the White House staff tested positive for coronavirus recently?” John Roberts of Fox News asked McNenny at a news briefing Wednesday.

“I don’t share people’s personal medical information,” McNeny said.

McNee spoke in the past when staff members tested positive for the virus, Roberts noted. “Why change?” He asked.

“I’ve seen reporting there but again I’m not there to give people personal identities. In the past, when I discussed a case, unfortunately, that person’s name was leaked to the media, “the press secretary replied.

The White House press pool reported that multiple staff members tested positive for the infection Wednesday. Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was asked about the reports early Wednesday and declined to comment.

The report comes a day after President Trump met with three world leaders to sign a historic Middle East peace agreement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain were present to sign two deals – one between Israel and Bahrain and one between Israel and the UAE. Trump signed as a witness.

Trump was also in Philadelphia for the ABC Townhall of the National Constitution Center on Tuesday night.

McKinney was asked about the president’s comments on the “mob mentality,” which probably means “mob immunity.” She made it clear that mob resistance at the White House “never became a strategy.”

“Our strategy is to get vaccinated,” he said, expressing confidence that it would be approved and “widely available” before the end of the year.

Trump told ABC’s George Stefanopoulos on Tuesday that the coronavirus would “run without a vaccine over time.”
