Matthew McConaughey reveals why he never dated his co-stars: ‘It just came alive’


Matthew McConaughey is blowing up his love life as the heartthrob of Hollywood.

During a show on “The Howard Stern Show”, the 50-year-old actor was asked if he hadn’t chosen to romantically connect with his co-stars.

“I think he just came alive,” said McConaughey, who has been married to Camilla Alves since 2012.

The star has worked with favorites from Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, Penelope Cruz and more showbiz stunners, but she has always chosen to keep things professional.

“If you look at the history of movies, when you see a couple – say they film together and later they get married, and they make another film together. Watch a movie – when they’re really good. Never let it be known that they are happening together … “explained the Scurry winner. “But once they’re married, you’ll see that movie, they’re not good together … you can go when they meet, it’s the same movie, ” he said. McConaughey noted that his co-stars were also interested in keeping things platonic, but he acknowledged that there could be a “certain crush” between co-stars.

“But we always kept it just professional,” he said. “Or maybe we were seriously dating someone outside at the time and we both had that respect for the other.”

Matthew informs MCNAOG Momental that he knew he wanted to be a father, met wife Amila Elav.

Her most famous co-star is Kate Hudson, who previously called McConaughey her worst screen no-screen kiss.

“The thing is, every time I kiss McConaughey, it’s like this, I mean, something happens that happens there, like a snot or a wind,” according to Yahoo Entertainment during an episode of the “Goop” podcast. Said Hudson.

She added: “When we were kissing at the end of ‘Flower Gold’, we were in the ocean, we liked it like a plane crash – like there was only a hut on her face.”

McConaughey then discussed his life in the spotlight.

“A certain amount of celebrity is for rent,” he said. “My wife and my family can’t have a conversation in my mind. So the non-negotiable things of my life, when I watered their proverbial garden, only grew my garden and I grew.”

The actor and his wife share three children: Levi, 12, Vida, 10, and Livingston, 7.
