Massive Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G leak reveals full specs and renders

Samsung executives will take a virtual stage in two weeks to present the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to the world. But thanks to Roland Quandt and WinFuture, now there is very little to reveal about the latter.

The Exynos 990 chipset returns in Europe

As part of what could be considered the biggest Galaxy Note 20 Ultra leak so far, every last detail about the European version of the flagship has been revealed along with press renders showing the Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black variants. the smartphone is quite disappointing the same Exynos 990 chipset as Samsung used to power the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra earlier this year. Despite previous rumors, there are no plans to use a newer Exynos chip.

It will be paired with impressive 12GB RAM as standard, plus 256GB of internal storage. Work is also underway on a more expensive 512GB model for Europe, and if that’s not enough, microSD card support has also been added.

It seems that the flagship device will arrive with Android 10 and One UI 2.5 directly from the first moment.

This software is combined with optimizations made in partnership with Microsoft for Project xCloud via Xbox Game Pass. More than 90 games will be available through integration, making the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a “portable game console” to be marketed as “made for Game Pass”.

The best S Pen so far paired with a really massive screen

Ensuring the best possible experience when playing those games is standard 5G network connectivity and a dynamic 6.9-inch AMOLED display that boasts a high 19.3: 9 aspect ratio, 3200 x 1440p resolution, and super refresh rate. Smooth 120Hz that adjusts automatically.

The panel is coupled with extremely thin top and bottom bezels, as well as more subtly curved edges like Samsung’s recent flagships. It measures 164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1mm, making it shorter than the Galaxy S20 Ultra (166.9 x 76 x 8.8mm) but taller than the Galaxy Note 10+ (162.3 x 77.2 x 7.9mm).

Giving the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra its name is, of course, the latest generation S Pen. Now it offers a so-called real-feeling experience thanks to a low latency of 9 ms, which equates it to the second-generation Apple Pencil.

Other features include a full 4,500 mAh battery with support for unspecified fast charge technology that allows for an impressive 50% charge in just 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also present and reverse wireless charging is likely.

There’s also dual SIM and eSIM support, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, an on-screen fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers optimized for AKG.

An improved triple camera system

Despite serious autofocus issues with the 108-megapixel sensor on the Galaxy S20 Ultra earlier this year, Samsung has chosen to reuse the large camera on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Fortunately, he has made a few changes to make things better.

The sensor now features support for dual-pixel phase detection autofocus technology that Samsung has used on recent flagships, including the Galaxy S20, but chose to remove it from the Galaxy S20 Ultra. A new laser autofocus system has also been included.

Sitting underneath the upgraded 108-megapixel system is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle snapper that appears to have been borrowed from the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

There’s also a new 12-megapixel zoom camera. It replaces the nifty alternatives used earlier this year and features a 5x periscope zoom lens, which also enables 50x Space Zoom with the help of digital clipping.

Lastly, Samsung has outfitted the flagship with 8K video recording support via the main camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera borrowed from previous flagships.
