While Android 11 is no longer the latest version of Google’s OS, it will be a stable release for the first part of this year. To help with its fix, the March Pixel feature drop and the next security patch are here.
Recorder cloud backup and web application
Pixel’s powerful recorder app can now automatically back up to Google Drive. Users previously had to manually upload via share sheet, while previous recordings will not be transferred to the new / other phone. Cloud storage means multi-device access access through the new recorder.google.com application, which can play, find and share play dio. The Google Recorder app still works in English.
Measure Heart and Respiratory Rate in Google Fit
Google Fit can use your pixel front-facing camera and computer vision to measure your respiratory rate by detecting small changes in your chest as you breathe. Meanwhile, increasing the heart rate involves placing your finger on the back lens. The feature is set to launch next week, though it’s not officially part of the March Pixel feature drop.
Underwater photos
Pixel Phones now works with Kraken Sports Universal Smart Phone Housing (KRH04 or KRH03) to capture sea life and beaches. The UI is close to the same savings for the top bar with certain supporting statistics.

Google gives users the ability to “capture the same high-quality images they’re accustomed to on the water above, and underwater without the cases traditionally used by cumbersome cameras and scuba drivers.”
Gboard Smart Compose
After launching into Gmail (as Pixel a Exclusive) and DX, Smart Compose is now officially coming to Gboard for messaging apps of choice. M.L. The feature will offer to complete the sentences as you type, suggesting common phrases (in gray) for repeated typing and cutting out possible typo. You swipe the spacebar to accept suggestions.
Smart Compose is currently only available in the US. Works in and when set to English.
Pixel stand
The Pixel Stand gets a new bedtime screen and you are again asked for help to “make it easier to fall asleep”.
This feature is available on Pixel phones with wireless charging capability: Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 5.
New IWD and Wallpaper wrapper
Google and Wallpapers have three new backgrounds ahead of International Women’s Day in March in the “Curated Culture” section introduced last month for Black History Month. Rather than focusing on the strengths and transformations of women, they are illustrated by the Spanish pair Cashtejek.
